After reading the documents there was one thing that was common among different kinds of women and that were the disadvantages they faced because of the economic changes in the first half of the 19th century. In the first document Harriet was a wife whose husband wanted to shift to the city so that they could earn better. In the second document the woman is the labour herself working in factories who spoke on behalf of all the women labour working in cotton textile factories like in Lowell and Massachusetts.
